BYD's million level brand "YangWang" was officially released: The "YiSiFang" platform was unveiled with four motors driven independently

BYD held the “YangWang" Brand and Technology Conference in Shenzhen, officially releasing the ”YangWang“ brand and its core technology "YiSiFang". In the future, "YiSiFang" technology will be equipped as standard on all models of the brand.

"YiSiFang" technology is the first mass production four motor drive technology in China, which can achieve accurate control of the dynamics of four wheels of the vehicle by virtue of four motor independent vector control technology. Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD Co., Ltd., also said that in the future the “YangWang" brand will take the lead in applying the top technologies of many BYD groups.

"YiSiFang" is a set of power system with four motors driven independently as the core. Officially, it has been comprehensively reconstructed around the characteristics of new energy vehicles from the three dimensions of perception, decision-making and execution.

Compared with the traditional fuel vehicle powertrain, the "YiSiFang" technology can independently adjust the dynamics of the four wheel ends of the vehicle at the speed of milliseconds through the electric drive system with stronger perception, so as to better control the body posture.

Benefiting from the above technical achievements, the "YiSiFang" technology can provide greater safety redundancy. For example, after a single wheel of the vehicle blows, the torque of the remaining three wheels can be accurately adjusted at a frequency of 1000 times per second, and the driving wheels can timely and forcefully compensate and intervene in the body posture to help the driver stop the vehicle stably and controllably. "YangWang" Automobile said that this function is expected to avoid secondary accidents to the maximum extent from the root of power.

For the vehicle equipped with "YiSiFang" technology, because the core system protection capability of the whole vehicle has reached IP68 level, and the vehicle body and cabin have good airtightness, it can even obtain the emergency floating ability by virtue of the four-wheel independent vector control function.

In terms of performance, the maximum speed of the "YiSiFang" platform has reached 20500rpm, and the strength of the whole vehicle has exceeded 1100 horses, which can meet the performance requirements of various extreme scenarios such as streets, cross-country and racing tracks. With the independent positive and negative torque output capability of the four motor drive technology, the "YiSiFang" platform can even achieve a brake stopping distance of less than 40m and an agile steering capability of less than 12m when the steering gear and brake do not work.

At the brand conference, we looked forward to the synchronous appearance of two mass production models of the brand, namely, the million level new energy hard off-road U8 and the million level pure electric performance supercar U9. Both models are equipped with "YiSiFang" technology as standard.

"YangWang" U8 as the first mass production model of the brand, positioning itself as a million class new energy hard off-road vehicle. The car is more than 5 meters long and 2 meters wide. It adopts the "Yangwang" family design of "Time and Space Gate", and integrates a sense of future and technology into the design of the whole car.

"YangWang" said that with the "YiSiFang" technology, "Yangwang" U8 not only has the performance, safety and reliability of hard off-road, but also has scientific and technological intelligence, which can bring modern civilization out of the wilderness by virtue of its outstanding sense of science and technology and its intelligent ability to escape difficulties and emergencies under complex road conditions.

Besides, "YangWang"  U9's positioning of a million level pure electric performance. The whole vehicle is equipped with "YiSiFang" power system, and the zero hundred acceleration reaches 2 seconds. The design also adopts the design language of "the gate of time and space".
